Damp removal and kitchen island pipework in a Port de La Mer apartment
An apartment in Port de La Mer where we removed damp and mould and, at the same time, rerouted pipework for a kitchen island, then finished the home with triple-row mouldings, curtain recesses and new paint.
The brief:
In this Port de La Mer apartment damp had damaged the walls, and the owners also wanted a kitchen island, which meant moving the plumbing. We dealt with both in one project so the new finishes went onto dry, sound surfaces.
Work completed:
- Stripped the wallpaper, cleaned the walls of mould and dried them out.
- Installed mouldings, including triple-row profiles, and concealed curtain recesses.
- Replaced the bathroom ceiling.
- Rerouted the pipework to serve a new kitchen island.
- Skimmed and painted the walls and ceilings.
The result:
The apartment is dry and fully refinished, with a new kitchen island and a cleaner, more detailed interior.
