New parquet and balcony rebuild in a Palm Jumeirah villa
A partial villa renovation on Palm Jumeirah: old parquet replaced with new engineered boards, a balcony rebuilt with a new screed, waterproofing and tiles, and a bedroom repainted.
The brief:
The owners of a Palm Jumeirah villa wanted selected areas renewed: the parquet, a balcony and one bedroom. On the balcony the key was doing every layer in the right order.
Work completed:
- Removed the old parquet completely and laid new parquet boards.
- Balcony: removed the tiles, poured a new screed, applied waterproofing and laid new tiles.
- Painted the bedroom.
The result:
New floors inside and a balcony rebuilt layer by layer, screed, waterproofing then tiles, so it stays watertight.
